by illogical42 on October 20th, 2010
Today I got some wonderful news: I just received confirmation that one of my pictures is selected for the exposition “Duisternis” (Darkness), organised by the Brabantse Milieufederatie. My image will be shown in the public library in Berkel-Enschot, from October 30th to November 27th, 2010.
Below you can see the selected work named “Na Bóithre Romhainn” (Gaelic for “The Road Ahead”).
Door with a message
by illogical42 on October 19th, 2010
I have a thing for doors. They hide, promise, show and sometimes tell me things. This doors for instance tells me there’s a non-conformist living here.
The message on the door contains a little nugget of wisdom. It states (almost literaly translated) that if things don’t go the way they should, things should go the way they go.
Breda Photo 2010
by illogical42 on October 17th, 2010
This year from September 19th to October 24th, Breda hosted the fourth edition of Breda Photo. It started out as a personal initiative of Ad Vlemmix.
The second edition was held in 2005 and the third in 2008. This year there has been an intense collaboration with Belgium and the Belgian art academies. And this year was the first year I went to Breda to visit this festival. Defying the cold wind we went to see the outdoor pictures and the museum. I dedicated a special blogpost to a door we passed, and made a quadtich of it.
